[Frontier Letter] New GEONET analysis strategy at GSI: daily coordinates of over 1300 GNSS CORS in Japan throughout the last quarter century
Takamatsu et al. (2023) reprocesses the daily station coordinates of Japan's GNSS observation network "GEONET" since 1996 based on the newly developed analysis strategy "F5". Processing under the global baseline network, they achieve millimeter level agreement with the recent geodetic reference frame for these two decades. The coordinate repeatability for upward component improves by 10 % on average after the enhancement of the troposphere modeling. The development of this consistent dataset encourages the Earth and planetary science community to discuss slightly and slowly evolving geodetic phenomena.
